WASHINGTON, DC, June 13, 2025 – The National Coalition for LGBTQ Health (the Coalition) has launched the “mfax” education and awareness campaign to raise awareness and provide education about mpox prevention, vaccination, testing, and treatment, as well as foster LGBTQ community engagement.
The LGBTQ-focused campaign features digital and print assets, including graphics, fact sheets, social media posts, and print materials. Visit HealthLGBTQ.org/mfax to access campaign resources and download shareable assets for social media. The Coalition premiered the mfax campaign at the WorldPride Street Festival, June 7 – 8, in Washington, DC.
The campaign is designed to further empower the LGBTQ community with knowledge and resources, enabling them to more fully engage in preventive measures and raise awareness of vaccination and its equitable access. The Coalition’s Mpox Resource Center provides information, data, links to resources, and news from multiple sources on mpox in the United States and globally.
“It is vital that we continue to raise awareness around mpox prevention in the U.S.,” said National Coalition for LGBTQ Health Executive Director Brian Hujdich. “We encourage the community to get the facts about mpox through this campaign and to talk to their healthcare provider about mpox vaccination.”
