Improving Patient-Provider Relationships with LGBTQ Patients Living with HIV

Join HealthHIV and Kathleen A. McManus, MD, MSCR, MSDC, FIDSA with the University of Virginia for an interactive webinar to discuss strategies for empowering providers to deliver affirming and comprehensive care for LGBTQ patients living with HIV. Topics will include building trust with patients, applying patient-affirming language and communication skills, and fostering a supportive healthcare environment. Dr. McManus will discuss common barriers to care and share practical approaches to creating welcoming spaces, using trauma-informed care, and addressing the unique needs of LGBTQ individuals. 

This webinar will include participant polling, live Q&A, and additional education opportunities from HealthHIV HIV Treatment Innovation Certificate ProgramTM and HealthHIV’s upcoming LGBTQ Health Education Center’s on-demand HIV Prevention and Care Series.
